Stars and Stripes for Soldiers
Launched in 2009, the stores’ “Color for a Cause” campaign paints a piece of equipment with stars and stripes. A percentage of the rental proceeds of that machinery is donated to the Folds of Honor Foundation.
Through its alliance with Folds of Honor, Volvo Rents is helping to raise funds for post-secondary scholarships for spouses and children of service members disabled or killed as a result of their service. The campaign has raised more than $25,000 for the foundation.
“Today’s servicemen and women bear the incredible burden of combat, and face the same economic strain faced by the rest of the country,” says Matt Tavianini, vice president of sales and marketing for Volvo Rents. “This is the least we can do to show our gratitude for their sacrifices and ensure that they receive our continued support.”
