ShineRooms.com completed research regarding the growth rate of two companies, Deere & Co. and Terex Corp. With this research they found that the farm and construction machinery demand is expected to grow as the rising population grows. “Deere recently reported plans to invest $47 million in expanding its cylinder operations,” according to the press release.
Engineers from the U.S. Navy and Army tested hybrid hydraulic technologies in order to seek out ways of reducing the cost of the U.S. Department of Defense’s heavy construction fleet, and to achieve greater energy efficiencies. This new technology will allow backhoes to use less hydraulic power, while still executing the same amount of work.
Caterpillar Inc. will be partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in an effort to create more jobs in the construction industry for our veterans. Caterpillar plans to invest $100,000 in the Chamber’s Hiring Our Heroes program. This program has been in existence for about a year and a half now and has helped more than 10,000 veterans and military spouses find jobs.
