According the Associated General Contractors of America, 139 out of 337 metropolitan areas saw an increase in construction jobs in December. The federal employment data analysis showed 131 areas with a decrease in number of jobs and 65 remained the same between December 2011 and December 2012. The area which added the most jobs was Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown, Texas; with a total of 17,600 new jobs, a 10% increase. Although Pascagoula, Mississippi saw the highest percentage of new construction jobs with a 42% increase.
