Arjun Mirdha has been appointed COO of JCB, Inc., and will assume the position of overseeing sales, commercial operations, parts and service, manufacturing, marketing communications and product marketing as of Jan. 1, 2013. In his current position as Executive Vice President of Sales/Marketing and Service, Mr. Mirdha has overseen a 62% increase in overall sales and a 48% increase in parts and service revenue.

Caterpillar Equipment and Chemtura have entered a joint development agreement for novel applications of Chemtura’s urethane pre-polymer technology for construction and mining equipment. The urethane tires have a high re-usability potential; which will be the unique selling point to Caterpillar’s customers. Caterpillar first plans to focus on developing tires for some of the harshest operating environments.
