News in the Construction Equipment Industry
Need a quick update on what happened last week in the construction industry? Every Monday we will provide a brief overview of some of the top stories for your consumption.
If you’re a manager working with construction equipment daily, then it is highly recommended that you are a Certified Equipment Manager (CEM) by the Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP). With the exam now available in more than 165 countries around the globe, there’s no reason why you or your manager shouldn’t have the CEM credential. It is the only recognized standard for judging the qualifications of a manager of community/government fleets or a manager of heavy off-road equipment.
Designed for both iOS and Android devices, the Inspecticon app allows construction workers to do an inspection completely through their mobile device. The app allows a user to upload photos and text about inspection details via an internet connection. Users can even assign or update your inspections securely online and setup e-mail alerts based on the defined workflow.
Titan Machinery Inc. recently announced the complete acquisition of Falcon Power Inc. The location of Falcon Power’s two Case construction equipment dealerships is ideal for Titan as it will provide new and used construction equipment, parts sales, and services to seven county areas in Arizona. “We are excited to expand the Titan Machinery footprint into Arizona, as we continue to execute on our core growth strategy of selective and strategic acquisitions in the United Sates,” says Titan Machinery’s Chairman and CEO, David Meyer.
