What is MINExpo® 2016?

MINExpo2016-date-cmykFor three days every four years, MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® is the Place for Everything Mining. With more than 1,800 exhibitors occupying more than 76,000 square meters of exhibit space, MINExpo® delivers solutions—imaginative new products and services, innovative technologies and expert-led sessions that lead to lower costs, increase profitability, improve safety, and manage risk.

The range of exhibits is unparalleled. All types of equipment—excavating, materials handling and haulage, processing and preparation, drilling, electrical, safety—as well as communications and computer technologies, replacement parts, or engineering, construction, mining or reclamation services can be found under one roof at the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition, many new products will be introduced at the show. Visit the MINExpo website to see a current list of exhibitors.

International Business Center

MINExpo goes to great lengths to make your visit comfortable and efficient. The International Business Center at MINExpo is available to:

  • Conduct private business meetings
  • Facilitate communications and provide a range of business services
  • Surmount the language barrier with the availability of multilingual personnel

MINExpo® 2016 also will feature an on-line Matchmaker Program that will facilitate attendees’ access to exhibitors. As part of advance registration, each attendee will be asked to indicate those products and services they are interested in seeing at the show. Then, as part of their registration confirmation, each attendee will receive a list of the exhibitors matching the products and services they indicated. The list will include a link to the website of each listed exhibitor. The Matchmaker Program lets attendees learn more about companies and products prior to the show so that they may use their time at the show more efficiently.

International Buyer Program

The U. S. Department of Commerce has chosen MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® to participate in its International Buyer Program (IBP). This is important to MINExpo attendees because the IBP facilitates partnerships between show exhibitors and buyers who want to grow their businesses, improve profitability, increase productivity or meet a range of mining-related challenges. At the show, you can check in at the International Business Center, where Department of Commerce officials will work hard to put you in direct contact with the exhibitors you want to visit.

The international section of the MINExpo website, www.minexpo.com, contains information to contact the Commercial Specialist at your nearest embassy or consulate to learn about joining a delegation to attend MINExpo. Those who attend as part of a delegation receive complimentary registration.

Join a U.S. Embassy Led Delegation

MINExpo® is a selected participant in the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Buyer Program (IBP). Through the IBP, U.S. Embassies and Consulates around the world will promote and recruit buyer delegations to the event. If you are interested in joining a U.S. Embassy led delegation, please contact the location nearest you (http://www.export.gov/worldwide_us/index.asp).
