Mack Granite Model Named Best Selling Conventional Straight Truck
As the industry standard for reliability and sturdiness, the Mack Granite outsold every other heavy-duty conventional straight truck in America last year. Customizable in a wide choice of mixer and dump truck variations, the Granite model features roll-off, rear-loader refuse and snowplow options. This truck, built in the U.S.A., meets the highest requirements of performance, durability and toughness.
With axle forward and axle back options, the Mack Granite truck provides the dependability, resilience and robust power that consumers have come to expect from Mack. The fuel-efficient Mack MP7 and MP8 engine models range from 325 horsepower and 1,200 foot-lbs. of torque to 505 horsepower and 1,760 foot-lbs. of torque. Mack assembles each Granite model on the Cornerstone chassis, and Mack can combine this with the Camelback suspension system that gives greater ground clearance and the ultimate in articulation.
The combination of strength and effectiveness in the Mack Granite truck makes it the critical underpinning to the workings of any jobsite. The Granite holds true to Mack’s customary superiority in offering options that target specific functions – and customers can order an individualized truck that meets the unique needs of their operations.
The positive response from customers in recent years has encouraged Mack to expand its Granite lineup. The Mack Granite Sleeper provides comfort and convenience for operations that require overnight trips to field sites. In addition, the Mack Granite Medium Heavy-Duty (MHD) truck offers the same sturdy features and driver amenities as the standard Granite, yet the MHD has a lighter weight and lower cost that make it suitable for less intensive operations.
To promote the customization features of the Granite model to potential customers, Mack shows the truck with various arrangements, such as the twin-steer Granite Axle Back with the Stone Slinger body. The company also combines the bridge formula Granite with three lift axles with the Superdump body and trailing axle, and the Granite Axle Back with rear discharge mixer with the 14-foot dump body, Granite MHD with rear discharge mixer.
