Company Wrench held a grand opening celebration at the company’s new Columbia, SC location on June 26th. Attendees, including demolition, scrap and construction contractors from the region were provided a tour of the facility’s new office, large service department and equipment yard. The grand opening festivities kicked off in the morning with a continental breakfast and later attendees were treated to a barbecue lunch. At the Grand Opening, Company Wrench also introduced its two newest manufacturers JCB and Fecon. JCB, one of the world’s top three manufacturers of construction equipment, has some of the finest engineering facilities across the globe and produces a range of over 300 machines. Fecon, with over 20 years of experience, is the industry leader in forestry mulching attachments.

Later in the day an auction was held, overseen by local auctioneers Martin & Martin, to benefit The Wounded Warrior Project (WWB). Vendors donated items for both the raffle drawings and the auction. Attendees placed bids on items including BBQ grills, tool chests and sets, power tools, a flat screen TV and a Yeti Cooler. The highlight of the auction was the bidding on a Kobelco SK35SR-6E Mini Excavator. Proceeds from the auction will support injured service members through the 20 programs and services provided by WWP that are uniquely structured to nurture the mind and body, and encourage economic empowerment and engagement. More than 52,000 servicemen and women have been injured in the recent military conflicts. In addition to the physical wounds, it is estimated as many as 400,000 service members live with the invisible wounds of war including combat-related stress, major depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Through this auction, we are helping WWP work toward their vision of fostering the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history.
